سُورَةُ الشُّعَرَاءِ

The Poets — (Ash-Shu'araa)

طسٓمٓ ١

Ta-Seen-Meem. (Alphabets of the Arabic language – Allah, and to whomever he reveals, know their precise meanings.) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

تِلْكَ ءَايَٰتُ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ٱلْمُبِينِ ٢

These are verses of the clear Book. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

لَعَلَّكَ بَٰخِعٌۭ نَّفْسَكَ أَلَّا يَكُونُوا۟ مُؤْمِنِينَ ٣

Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِن نَّشَأْ نُنَزِّلْ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةًۭ فَظَلَّتْ أَعْنَٰقُهُمْ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ ٤

If We will, We can send down on them a sign from the sky so that their leaders would remain bowed before it. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن ذِكْرٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ مُحْدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُوا۟ عَنْهُ مُعْرِضِينَ ٥

And never does a new advice come to them from the Most Gracious, but they turn away from it. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَقَدْ كَذَّبُوا۟ فَسَيَأْتِيهِمْ أَنۢبَٰٓؤُا۟ مَا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ ٦

Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ إِلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ كَمْ أَنۢبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ زَوْجٍۢ كَرِيمٍ ٧

Have they not seen the earth, that how many honourable pairs We have created in it? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٨

Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them will not accept faith. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٩

And indeed your Lord – indeed only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبُّكَ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱئْتِ ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلظَّٰلِمِينَ ١٠

And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَوْمَ فِرْعَوْنَ ۚ أَلَا يَتَّقُونَ ١١

“The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ أَن يُكَذِّبُونِ ١٢

He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَيَضِيقُ صَدْرِى وَلَا يَنطَلِقُ لِسَانِى فَأَرْسِلْ إِلَىٰ هَٰرُونَ ١٣

“I feel hesitant, and my tongue does not speak fast, therefore make Haroon also a Noble Messenger.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَهُمْ عَلَىَّ ذَنۢبٌۭ فَأَخَافُ أَن يَقْتُلُونِ ١٤

“And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ فَٱذْهَبَا بِـَٔايَٰتِنَآ ۖ إِنَّا مَعَكُم مُّسْتَمِعُونَ ١٥

He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأْتِيَا فِرْعَوْنَ فَقُولَآ إِنَّا رَسُولُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦

“Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَنْ أَرْسِلْ مَعَنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ١٧

‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ أَلَمْ نُرَبِّكَ فِينَا وَلِيدًۭا وَلَبِثْتَ فِينَا مِنْ عُمُرِكَ سِنِينَ ١٨

Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَفَعَلْتَ فَعْلَتَكَ ٱلَّتِى فَعَلْتَ وَأَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ١٩

“And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ فَعَلْتُهَآ إِذًۭا وَأَنَا۠ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٢٠

Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ فَوَهَبَ لِى رَبِّى حُكْمًۭا وَجَعَلَنِى مِنَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ٢١

“I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتِلْكَ نِعْمَةٌۭ تَمُنُّهَا عَلَىَّ أَنْ عَبَّدتَّ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٢٢

“And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَا رَبُّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٢٣

Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُم مُّوقِنِينَ ٢٤

Said Moosa, “Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them; if you believe.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ لِمَنْ حَوْلَهُۥٓ أَلَا تَسْتَمِعُونَ ٢٥

Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبُّكُمْ وَرَبُّ ءَابَآئِكُمُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ٢٦

Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ إِنَّ رَسُولَكُمُ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُرْسِلَ إِلَيْكُمْ لَمَجْنُونٌۭ ٢٧

Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقِ وَٱلْمَغْرِبِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَآ ۖ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ ٢٨

He said, “The Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them; if you have sense.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ لَئِنِ ٱتَّخَذْتَ إِلَٰهًا غَيْرِى لَأَجْعَلَنَّكَ مِنَ ٱلْمَسْجُونِينَ ٢٩

Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ أَوَلَوْ جِئْتُكَ بِشَىْءٍۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ٣٠

Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ فَأْتِ بِهِۦٓ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ٣١

Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَلْقَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ ثُعْبَانٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ٣٢

So Moosa put down his staff and it became a visible serpent. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَنَزَعَ يَدَهُۥ فَإِذَا هِىَ بَيْضَآءُ لِلنَّٰظِرِينَ ٣٣

And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ لِلْمَلَإِ حَوْلَهُۥٓ إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَسَٰحِرٌ عَلِيمٌۭ ٣٤

Said Firaun to the court members around him, “He is indeed an expert magician.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

يُرِيدُ أَن يُخْرِجَكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِكُم بِسِحْرِهِۦ فَمَاذَا تَأْمُرُونَ ٣٥

“He wishes to expel you out of your land by his magic; so what is your advice?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوٓا۟ أَرْجِهْ وَأَخَاهُ وَٱبْعَثْ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ٣٦

They said, “Stop him and his brother, and send gatherers to the cities.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

يَأْتُوكَ بِكُلِّ سَحَّارٍ عَلِيمٍۢ ٣٧

“To bring to you every expert great magician.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَجُمِعَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ لِمِيقَٰتِ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ٣٨

So the magicians were gathered at a set time on a day appointed. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَقِيلَ لِلنَّاسِ هَلْ أَنتُم مُّجْتَمِعُونَ ٣٩

And it was said to the people, “Have you (also) gathered?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

لَعَلَّنَا نَتَّبِعُ ٱلسَّحَرَةَ إِن كَانُوا۟ هُمُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ٤٠

The people said, “Perhaps we may follow the magicians if they are victorious.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَلَمَّا جَآءَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ قَالُوا۟ لِفِرْعَوْنَ أَئِنَّ لَنَا لَأَجْرًا إِن كُنَّا نَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبِينَ ٤١

So when the magicians came, they said to Firaun, “Will we get some reward if we are victorious?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ نَعَمْ وَإِنَّكُمْ إِذًۭا لَّمِنَ ٱلْمُقَرَّبِينَ ٤٢

He said, “Yes, and you will then become close to me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ لَهُم مُّوسَىٰٓ أَلْقُوا۟ مَآ أَنتُم مُّلْقُونَ ٤٣

Moosa said to them, “Cast whatever you intend to cast.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَلْقَوْا۟ حِبَالَهُمْ وَعِصِيَّهُمْ وَقَالُوا۟ بِعِزَّةِ فِرْعَوْنَ إِنَّا لَنَحْنُ ٱلْغَٰلِبُونَ ٤٤

So they threw down their ropes and their staves and exclaimed, “By the honour of Firaun, indeed victory is ours!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَلْقَىٰ مُوسَىٰ عَصَاهُ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ ٤٥

Therefore Moosa put forth his staff – so it immediately began swallowing all their fabrications. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَٰجِدِينَ ٤٦

The magicians therefore fell down prostrate. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٤٧

They said, “We have accepted faith in the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

رَبِّ مُوسَىٰ وَهَٰرُونَ ٤٨

“The Lord of Moosa and Haroon.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ ءَامَنتُمْ لَهُۥ قَبْلَ أَنْ ءَاذَنَ لَكُمْ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكَبِيرُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى عَلَّمَكُمُ ٱلسِّحْرَ فَلَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ۚ لَأُقَطِّعَنَّ أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُم مِّنْ خِلَٰفٍۢ وَلَأُصَلِّبَنَّكُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٤٩

Said Firaun, “You accepted faith in him before I permitted you! He is indeed your leader who taught you magic; so now you will come to know; I swear, I will certainly cut off your hands and your feet from alternate sides, and crucify all of you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ لَا ضَيْرَ ۖ إِنَّآ إِلَىٰ رَبِّنَا مُنقَلِبُونَ ٥٠

They said, “No harm (in it), we will return to our Lord.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّا نَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لَنَا رَبُّنَا خَطَٰيَٰنَآ أَن كُنَّآ أَوَّلَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٥١

“We hope that our Lord will forgive us our mistakes, as we are the first to believe.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ٥٢

And We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Journey along with My bondmen within the night, for you will be pursued.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَرْسَلَ فِرْعَوْنُ فِى ٱلْمَدَآئِنِ حَٰشِرِينَ ٥٣

So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ لَشِرْذِمَةٌۭ قَلِيلُونَ ٥٤

They announced “These people are a small group.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّهُمْ لَنَا لَغَآئِظُونَ ٥٥

“And indeed they have angered all of us.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّا لَجَمِيعٌ حَٰذِرُونَ ٥٦

“And indeed we are an alert army.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَخْرَجْنَٰهُم مِّن جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ٥٧

We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَكُنُوزٍۢ وَمَقَامٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ٥٨

And from treasures and nice houses. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَٰلِكَ وَأَوْرَثْنَٰهَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٥٩

So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَتْبَعُوهُم مُّشْرِقِينَ ٦٠

So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَلَمَّا تَرَٰٓءَا ٱلْجَمْعَانِ قَالَ أَصْحَٰبُ مُوسَىٰٓ إِنَّا لَمُدْرَكُونَ ٦١

And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّ مَعِىَ رَبِّى سَيَهْدِينِ ٦٢

Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنِ ٱضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ ٱلْبَحْرَ ۖ فَٱنفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍۢ كَٱلطَّوْدِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٦٣

So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ٦٤

And We brought the others close to that place. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ٦٥

And We saved Moosa and all those with him. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ٦٦

Then drowned the others. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٦٧

Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ٦٨

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٦٩

And recite to them the news of Ibrahim. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِۦ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٠

When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًۭا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَٰكِفِينَ ٧١

They said, “We worship idols, and we keep squatting in seclusion before them.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ ٧٢

He said, “Do they hear you when you call?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ ٧٣

“Or do they benefit you or harm you?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ بَلْ وَجَدْنَآ ءَابَآءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ ٧٤

They said, “In fact we found our forefathers doing likewise.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ أَفَرَءَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٥

He said, “Do you see these – (the idols) whom you worship?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَنتُمْ وَءَابَآؤُكُمُ ٱلْأَقْدَمُونَ ٧٦

“You and your forefathers preceding you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّۭ لِّىٓ إِلَّا رَبَّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٧٧

“They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَنِى فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ ٧٨

“The One Who created me, so He will guide me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱلَّذِى هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِى وَيَسْقِينِ ٧٩

“And the One Who feeds me and gives me to drink.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ ٨٠

“And when I fall ill, so it is He Who heals me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱلَّذِى يُمِيتُنِى ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ ٨١

“And He will give me death, then resurrect me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِى خَطِيٓـَٔتِى يَوْمَ ٱلدِّينِ ٨٢

“And the One Who, upon Whom I pin my hopes, will forgive me my mistakes on the Day of Judgement.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًۭا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّٰلِحِينَ ٨٣

“My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱجْعَل لِّى لِسَانَ صِدْقٍۢ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرِينَ ٨٤

“And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱجْعَلْنِى مِن وَرَثَةِ جَنَّةِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ ٨٥

“And make me among the inheritors of the Gardens of serenity.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱغْفِرْ لِأَبِىٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ٨٦

“And forgive my father* – he is indeed astray.” (His paternal uncle) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَا تُخْزِنِى يَوْمَ يُبْعَثُونَ ٨٧

“And do not disgrace me on the day when everyone will be raised.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

يَوْمَ لَا يَنفَعُ مَالٌۭ وَلَا بَنُونَ ٨٨

“The day when neither wealth will benefit nor will sons.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِلَّا مَنْ أَتَى ٱللَّهَ بِقَلْبٍۢ سَلِيمٍۢ ٨٩

“Except he who presented himself before Allah, with a sound* heart.” (Intact or unblemished.) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأُزْلِفَتِ ٱلْجَنَّةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ ٩٠

And Paradise will be brought close for the pious. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَبُرِّزَتِ ٱلْجَحِيمُ لِلْغَاوِينَ ٩١

And hell will be revealed for the astray. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَقِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٩٢

And it will be said to them, “Where are those whom you used to worship?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ هَلْ يَنصُرُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَنتَصِرُونَ ٩٣

“Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَكُبْكِبُوا۟ فِيهَا هُمْ وَٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ٩٤

So they and all the astray were flung into hell. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَجُنُودُ إِبْلِيسَ أَجْمَعُونَ ٩٥

And all the armies of Iblis. (Satan) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ وَهُمْ فِيهَا يَخْتَصِمُونَ ٩٦

And they will say, and they will be quarrelling in it: — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

تَٱللَّهِ إِن كُنَّا لَفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ ٩٧

“By oath of Allah, we were indeed in open error.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ نُسَوِّيكُم بِرَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٩٨

“When we considered you equal to the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَضَلَّنَآ إِلَّا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ ٩٩

“And none misled us but the guilty.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَمَا لَنَا مِن شَٰفِعِينَ ١٠٠

“So now we do not have any intercessors.” (The believers shall have intercessors, the disbelievers none). — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَا صَدِيقٍ حَمِيمٍۢ ١٠١

“Nor a caring friend.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَلَوْ أَنَّ لَنَا كَرَّةًۭ فَنَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١٠٢

“So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٠٣

Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٠٤

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٠٥

The people of Nooh denied the Noble Messengers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٠٦

When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٠٧

“I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٠٨

“Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٠٩

“And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١١٠

“Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

۞ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَٱتَّبَعَكَ ٱلْأَرْذَلُونَ ١١١

They said, “Shall we believe in you, whereas the abject people are with you?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِى بِمَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ١١٢

He said, “What do I know what their deeds are?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّى ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ ١١٣

“Indeed their account is only upon my Lord, if you perceive.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَنَا۠ بِطَارِدِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٤

“And I will not repel the Muslims.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنْ أَنَا۠ إِلَّا نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ ١١٥

“I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰنُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَرْجُومِينَ ١١٦

They said, “O Nooh, if you do not desist you will surely be stoned.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى كَذَّبُونِ ١١٧

He said, “My Lord, my people have denied me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱفْتَحْ بَيْنِى وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًۭا وَنَجِّنِى وَمَن مَّعِىَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٨

“Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَنجَيْنَٰهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُۥ فِى ٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلْمَشْحُونِ ١١٩

So We saved him and those with him in a laden ship. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ ١٢٠

Then after it, We drowned the rest. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٢١

Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٢٢

And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٢٣

(The tribe of) A’ad denied the Noble Messengers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ هُودٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٢٤

When their fellowman Hud said to them, “Do you not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٢٥

“I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٢٦

“Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٢٧

“And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَتَبْنُونَ بِكُلِّ رِيعٍ ءَايَةًۭ تَعْبَثُونَ ١٢٨

“What! You build a structure on every height, to laugh at the passers-by?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتَتَّخِذُونَ مَصَانِعَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَخْلُدُونَ ١٢٩

“And prefer strong palaces, that perhaps you may live for ever?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِذَا بَطَشْتُم بَطَشْتُمْ جَبَّارِينَ ١٣٠

“And when you apprehend someone, you seize him mercilessly?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٣١

“Therefore fear Allah, and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِىٓ أَمَدَّكُم بِمَا تَعْلَمُونَ ١٣٢

“Fear Him Who has aided you with the things you know.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَمَدَّكُم بِأَنْعَٰمٍۢ وَبَنِينَ ١٣٣

“He aided you with cattle and sons.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَجَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍ ١٣٤

“And with gardens and water-springs.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ١٣٥

“Indeed I fear upon you the punishment of a Great Day.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ سَوَآءٌ عَلَيْنَآ أَوَعَظْتَ أَمْ لَمْ تَكُن مِّنَ ٱلْوَٰعِظِينَ ١٣٦

They said, “It is the same for us, whether you advise us or not be of the preachers.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنْ هَٰذَآ إِلَّا خُلُقُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٣٧

“This is nothing but the tradition of former people.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمُعَذَّبِينَ ١٣٨

“And we will not be punished.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَهْلَكْنَٰهُمْ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٣٩

In response they denied him – We therefore destroyed them; indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٤٠

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٤١

The Thamud tribe denied the Noble Messengers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ صَٰلِحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٤٢

When their fellowman Saleh said to them, “Do you not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٤٣

“I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٤٤

“Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٤٥

“And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَتُتْرَكُونَ فِى مَا هَٰهُنَآ ءَامِنِينَ ١٤٦

“Will you be left peacefully in these favours over here?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَعُيُونٍۢ ١٤٧

“In gardens and water springs?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَزُرُوعٍۢ وَنَخْلٍۢ طَلْعُهَا هَضِيمٌۭ ١٤٨

“And fields and palm-trees, with delicate tendrils?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتَنْحِتُونَ مِنَ ٱلْجِبَالِ بُيُوتًۭا فَٰرِهِينَ ١٤٩

“And you carve out dwellings in the mountains, with skill?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٥٠

“Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَا تُطِيعُوٓا۟ أَمْرَ ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ ١٥١

“And do not follow those who exceed the limits.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ٱلَّذِينَ يُفْسِدُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَا يُصْلِحُونَ ١٥٢

“Those who spread turmoil in the earth, and do no reform.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ١٥٣

They said, “You are under a magic spell.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

مَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا فَأْتِ بِـَٔايَةٍ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١٥٤

“You are just a human like us; therefore bring some sign if you are truthful.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةٌۭ لَّهَا شِرْبٌۭ وَلَكُمْ شِرْبُ يَوْمٍۢ مَّعْلُومٍۢ ١٥٥

He said, “This is the she-camel – one day shall be her turn to drink, and on the other appointed day, shall be your turn.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٍۢ فَيَأْخُذَكُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍۢ ١٥٦

“And do not touch her with evil intentions for the punishment of the Great Day will seize you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَعَقَرُوهَا فَأَصْبَحُوا۟ نَٰدِمِينَ ١٥٧

So they hamstrung her, and in the morning could only regret. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ ۗ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٥٨

The punishment therefore seized them; indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٥٩

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٦٠

The people of Lut denied the Noble Messengers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ لُوطٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٦١

When their fellowman Lut said to them, “Do you not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٦٢

“I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٦٣

“Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦٤

“And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَتَأْتُونَ ٱلذُّكْرَانَ مِنَ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٦٥

“What! Among all the creatures, you commit the immoral acts with men?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتَذَرُونَ مَا خَلَقَ لَكُمْ رَبُّكُم مِّنْ أَزْوَٰجِكُم ۚ بَلْ أَنتُمْ قَوْمٌ عَادُونَ ١٦٦

“And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوا۟ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَٰلُوطُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْرَجِينَ ١٦٧

They said, “O Lut, if you do not desist, you will be expelled.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ إِنِّى لِعَمَلِكُم مِّنَ ٱلْقَالِينَ ١٦٨

He said, “I am disgusted with your works.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

رَبِّ نَجِّنِى وَأَهْلِى مِمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ ١٦٩

“My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَنَجَّيْنَٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥٓ أَجْمَعِينَ ١٧٠

We therefore rescued him and his entire family. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِلَّا عَجُوزًۭا فِى ٱلْغَٰبِرِينَ ١٧١

Except one old woman, who stayed behind. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ثُمَّ دَمَّرْنَا ٱلْءَاخَرِينَ ١٧٢

We then destroyed the others. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأَمْطَرْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّطَرًۭا ۖ فَسَآءَ مَطَرُ ٱلْمُنذَرِينَ ١٧٣

And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٧٤

Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٧٥

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَّبَ أَصْحَٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٧٦

The People of the Woods denied the Noble Messengers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ شُعَيْبٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٧٧

When Shuaib said to all of them, “Do you not fear?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنِّى لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌۭ ١٧٨

“I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٧٩

“Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِىَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٨٠

“And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

۞ أَوْفُوا۟ ٱلْكَيْلَ وَلَا تَكُونُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْمُخْسِرِينَ ١٨١

“Measure in full, and do not be of those who reduce.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَزِنُوا۟ بِٱلْقِسْطَاسِ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمِ ١٨٢

“And weigh with a proper balance.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَا تَبْخَسُوا۟ ٱلنَّاسَ أَشْيَآءَهُمْ وَلَا تَعْثَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُفْسِدِينَ ١٨٣

“And do not give the people their goods diminished, and do not roam the earth causing turmoil.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُمْ وَٱلْجِبِلَّةَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٨٤

“And fear Him Who created you and the earlier creations.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَنتَ مِنَ ٱلْمُسَحَّرِينَ ١٨٥

They said, “You are under a magic spell.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَنتَ إِلَّا بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُنَا وَإِن نَّظُنُّكَ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَٰذِبِينَ ١٨٦

“You are just a human like us, and indeed we consider you a liar.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَأَسْقِطْ عَلَيْنَا كِسَفًۭا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ إِن كُنتَ مِنَ ٱلصَّٰدِقِينَ ١٨٧

“Therefore cause a part of the sky to fall upon us, if you are of the truthful.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

قَالَ رَبِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ١٨٨

He said, “My Lord is Well Aware of what you do.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَهُمْ عَذَابُ يَوْمِ ٱلظُّلَّةِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ١٨٩

In response they denied him – therefore the punishment of the day of the tent* seized them; that was indeed a punishment of a Great Day. (The clouds formed a tent and rained fire upon them). — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَءَايَةًۭ ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٩٠

Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ ٱلْعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ ١٩١

And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَنزِيلُ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ١٩٢

And indeed this Qur’an has been sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

نَزَلَ بِهِ ٱلرُّوحُ ٱلْأَمِينُ ١٩٣

The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel – peace be upon him.) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

عَلَىٰ قَلْبِكَ لِتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُنذِرِينَ ١٩٤

Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

بِلِسَانٍ عَرَبِىٍّۢ مُّبِينٍۢ ١٩٥

In plain Arabic language. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَإِنَّهُۥ لَفِى زُبُرِ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ١٩٦

And indeed it is mentioned in the earlier Books. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَوَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ ءَايَةً أَن يَعْلَمَهُۥ عُلَمَٰٓؤُا۟ بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ١٩٧

And was this not a sign for them, that the scholars of the Descendants of Israel may recognise this Prophet? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَلَوْ نَزَّلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ بَعْضِ ٱلْأَعْجَمِينَ ١٩٨

And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَقَرَأَهُۥ عَلَيْهِم مَّا كَانُوا۟ بِهِۦ مُؤْمِنِينَ ١٩٩

In order that he read it to them, even then they would not have believed in it. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

كَذَٰلِكَ سَلَكْنَٰهُ فِى قُلُوبِ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ٢٠٠

This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِهِۦ حَتَّىٰ يَرَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ٱلْأَلِيمَ ٢٠١

They will not believe in it to the extent that they see the painful punishment. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَيَأْتِيَهُم بَغْتَةًۭ وَهُمْ لَا يَشْعُرُونَ ٢٠٢

So it will come upon them suddenly, whilst they will be unaware. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَيَقُولُوا۟ هَلْ نَحْنُ مُنظَرُونَ ٢٠٣

They will therefore say, “Will we get some respite?” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَفَبِعَذَابِنَا يَسْتَعْجِلُونَ ٢٠٤

So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَفَرَءَيْتَ إِن مَّتَّعْنَٰهُمْ سِنِينَ ٢٠٥

Therefore observe, that if We give them some comforts for some years, – — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ثُمَّ جَآءَهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ ٢٠٦

And then the promise that is given to them, does come upon them- — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا۟ يُمَتَّعُونَ ٢٠٧

So of what benefit will be the comforts that they were using? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَآ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ إِلَّا لَهَا مُنذِرُونَ ٢٠٨

And never did We destroy a township which did not have Heralds of warning, – — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ذِكْرَىٰ وَمَا كُنَّا ظَٰلِمِينَ ٢٠٩

To advise; and We never oppress. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَا تَنَزَّلَتْ بِهِ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ ٢١٠

And this Qur’an was not brought down by the devils. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لَهُمْ وَمَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ ٢١١

They are unworthy of it, nor can they do it. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّهُمْ عَنِ ٱلسَّمْعِ لَمَعْزُولُونَ ٢١٢

Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَلَا تَدْعُ مَعَ ٱللَّهِ إِلَٰهًا ءَاخَرَ فَتَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلْمُعَذَّبِينَ ٢١٣

Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأَنذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ ٱلْأَقْرَبِينَ ٢١٤

And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), warn your closest relatives. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱخْفِضْ جَنَاحَكَ لِمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَكَ مِنَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢١٥

And spread your wing of mercy for the believers following you. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

فَإِنْ عَصَوْكَ فَقُلْ إِنِّى بَرِىٓءٌۭ مِّمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ ٢١٦

So if they do not obey you, then say, “Indeed I am unconcerned with what you do.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ٢١٧

And rely upon (Allah) the Almighty, the Most Merciful. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

ٱلَّذِى يَرَىٰكَ حِينَ تَقُومُ ٢١٨

Who watches you when you stand up. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَتَقَلُّبَكَ فِى ٱلسَّٰجِدِينَ ٢١٩

And watches your movements among those who prostrate in prayer. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٢٢٠

Indeed only He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

هَلْ أُنَبِّئُكُمْ عَلَىٰ مَن تَنَزَّلُ ٱلشَّيَٰطِينُ ٢٢١

Shall I inform you upon whom do the devils descend? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

تَنَزَّلُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ أَفَّاكٍ أَثِيمٍۢ ٢٢٢

They descend on every great accuser, extreme sinner. (The magicians) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

يُلْقُونَ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ كَٰذِبُونَ ٢٢٣

The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَٱلشُّعَرَآءُ يَتَّبِعُهُمُ ٱلْغَاوُۥنَ ٢٢٤

And the astray follow the poets. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّهُمْ فِى كُلِّ وَادٍۢ يَهِيمُونَ ٢٢٥

Did you not see that they keep wandering in every valley? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

وَأَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ مَا لَا يَفْعَلُونَ ٢٢٦

And they speak what they do not do? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّٰلِحَٰتِ وَذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ كَثِيرًۭا وَٱنتَصَرُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا ظُلِمُوا۟ ۗ وَسَيَعْلَمُ ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَىَّ مُنقَلَبٍۢ يَنقَلِبُونَ ٢٢٧

Except those who believed and did good deeds, and profusely remembered Allah, and took revenge after they had been wronged*; and soon the unjust will come to know upon which side they will be overturned**. (* The Muslim poets who praise Allah and the Prophet. ** The disbelievers will be punished.) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
