ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ١
The true event! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ٢
How tremendous is the true event! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْحَآقَّةُ ٣
And what have you understood, how tremendous the true event is! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ وَعَادٌۢ بِٱلْقَارِعَةِ ٤
The tribes of Thamud and A’ad denied the event of great dismay. (The Day of Resurrection) — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَأَمَّا ثَمُودُ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِٱلطَّاغِيَةِ ٥
So regarding the Thamud, they were destroyed by a terrible scream. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَأَمَّا عَادٌۭ فَأُهْلِكُوا۟ بِرِيحٍۢ صَرْصَرٍ عَاتِيَةٍۢ ٦
And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍۢ وَثَمَٰنِيَةَ أَيَّامٍ حُسُومًۭا فَتَرَى ٱلْقَوْمَ فِيهَا صَرْعَىٰ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۢ ٧
He forced it upon them with strength, consecutively for seven nights and eight days – so you would see those people overthrown in it, like trunks of date palms fallen down. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَهَلْ تَرَىٰ لَهُم مِّنۢ بَاقِيَةٍۢ ٨
So do you see any survivor among them? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَجَآءَ فِرْعَوْنُ وَمَن قَبْلَهُۥ وَٱلْمُؤْتَفِكَٰتُ بِٱلْخَاطِئَةِ ٩
And Firaun, and those before him, and the dwellings that were inverted and thrown, had brought error. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَعَصَوْا۟ رَسُولَ رَبِّهِمْ فَأَخَذَهُمْ أَخْذَةًۭ رَّابِيَةً ١٠
They therefore disobeyed the Noble Messengers of their Lord – so He seized them with an intense seizure. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنَّا لَمَّا طَغَا ٱلْمَآءُ حَمَلْنَٰكُمْ فِى ٱلْجَارِيَةِ ١١
Indeed when the water swelled up, We boarded you onto the ship. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
لِنَجْعَلَهَا لَكُمْ تَذْكِرَةًۭ وَتَعِيَهَآ أُذُنٌۭ وَٰعِيَةٌۭ ١٢
In order to make it a remembrance for you, and in order that the ears that store may remember. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَإِذَا نُفِخَ فِى ٱلصُّورِ نَفْخَةٌۭ وَٰحِدَةٌۭ ١٣
So when the Trumpet will be blown, with a sudden single blow. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَحُمِلَتِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَٱلْجِبَالُ فَدُكَّتَا دَكَّةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ ١٤
And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَيَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَقَعَتِ ٱلْوَاقِعَةُ ١٥
So that is the day when the forthcoming event will occur. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَهِىَ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ وَاهِيَةٌۭ ١٦
And the heaven will split asunder – so on that day it will be unstable. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلْمَلَكُ عَلَىٰٓ أَرْجَآئِهَا ۚ وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍۢ ثَمَٰنِيَةٌۭ ١٧
And the angels will be on its sides; and on that day, eight angels will carry the Throne of your Lord above them. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ تُعْرَضُونَ لَا تَخْفَىٰ مِنكُمْ خَافِيَةٌۭ ١٨
On that day all of you will be brought forth, so none among you wishing to hide will be able to hide. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِيَمِينِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ هَآؤُمُ ٱقْرَءُوا۟ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ١٩
So whoever is given his book in his right hand – he will say, “Take, read my account!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنِّى ظَنَنتُ أَنِّى مُلَٰقٍ حِسَابِيَهْ ٢٠
“I was certain that I will confront my account.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَهُوَ فِى عِيشَةٍۢ رَّاضِيَةٍۢ ٢١
He is therefore in the desired serenity. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فِى جَنَّةٍ عَالِيَةٍۢ ٢٢
In a lofty Garden – — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
قُطُوفُهَا دَانِيَةٌۭ ٢٣
The fruit clusters of which are hanging down. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
كُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـًٔۢا بِمَآ أَسْلَفْتُمْ فِى ٱلْأَيَّامِ ٱلْخَالِيَةِ ٢٤
“Eat and drink with pleasure – the reward of what you sent ahead, in the past days.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَأَمَّا مَنْ أُوتِىَ كِتَٰبَهُۥ بِشِمَالِهِۦ فَيَقُولُ يَٰلَيْتَنِى لَمْ أُوتَ كِتَٰبِيَهْ ٢٥
And whoever is given his book in his left hand – he will say, “Alas, if only my account were not given to me!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَمْ أَدْرِ مَا حِسَابِيَهْ ٢٦
“And had never come to know my account!” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ ٢٧
“Alas, if only it had been just death.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنِّى مَالِيَهْ ۜ ٢٨
“My wealth did not in the least benefit me.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
هَلَكَ عَنِّى سُلْطَٰنِيَهْ ٢٩
“All my power has vanished.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
خُذُوهُ فَغُلُّوهُ ٣٠
It will be said, “Seize him, and shackle him.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
ثُمَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ صَلُّوهُ ٣١
“Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
ثُمَّ فِى سِلْسِلَةٍۢ ذَرْعُهَا سَبْعُونَ ذِرَاعًۭا فَٱسْلُكُوهُ ٣٢
“Then bind him inside a chain which is seventy arm-lengths.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ لَا يُؤْمِنُ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٣٣
“Indeed he refused to accept faith in Allah, the Greatest.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلْمِسْكِينِ ٣٤
“And did not urge to feed the needy.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَلَيْسَ لَهُ ٱلْيَوْمَ هَٰهُنَا حَمِيمٌۭ ٣٥
“So he does not have any friend here this day.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَا طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِنْ غِسْلِينٍۢ ٣٦
“Nor any food except the pus discharged from the people of hell.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
لَّا يَأْكُلُهُۥٓ إِلَّا ٱلْخَٰطِـُٔونَ ٣٧
“Which none except the guilty shall eat.” — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِمَا تُبْصِرُونَ ٣٨
So by oath of the things you see. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَمَا لَا تُبْصِرُونَ ٣٩
And by oath of those you do not see. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنَّهُۥ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍۢ كَرِيمٍۢ ٤٠
This Qur’an is the speech of Allah with a gracious Noble Messenger. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ ٤١
And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ ٤٢
Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
تَنزِيلٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ٤٣
Sent down by the Lord Of The Creation. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَوْ تَقَوَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بَعْضَ ٱلْأَقَاوِيلِ ٤٤
And had he fabricated just one matter upon Us – — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
لَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُ بِٱلْيَمِينِ ٤٥
We would have definitely taken revenge from him. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
ثُمَّ لَقَطَعْنَا مِنْهُ ٱلْوَتِينَ ٤٦
Then would have cut off his heart’s artery. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَمَا مِنكُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ عَنْهُ حَٰجِزِينَ ٤٧
Then none among you would be his saviour. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَتَذْكِرَةٌۭ لِّلْمُتَّقِينَ ٤٨
And indeed this Qur’an is an advice for the pious. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَإِنَّا لَنَعْلَمُ أَنَّ مِنكُم مُّكَذِّبِينَ ٤٩
And indeed We know that some among you are deniers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَسْرَةٌ عَلَى ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ ٥٠
And indeed it is a despair for the disbelievers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَإِنَّهُۥ لَحَقُّ ٱلْيَقِينِ ٥١
And indeed it is a certain Truth. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَسَبِّحْ بِٱسْمِ رَبِّكَ ٱلْعَظِيمِ ٥٢
Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), proclaim the purity of your Lord, the Greatest. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
