سَأَلَ سَآئِلٌۢ بِعَذَابٍۢ وَاقِعٍۢ ١
A requester seeks the punishment that will take place – — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
لِّلْكَٰفِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ دَافِعٌۭ ٢
- Upon the disbelievers – the punishment that none can avert. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ ذِى ٱلْمَعَارِجِ ٣
From Allah, the Lord of all pinnacles. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
تَعْرُجُ ٱلْمَلَٰٓئِكَةُ وَٱلرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِى يَوْمٍۢ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُۥ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍۢ ٤
The angels and Jibreel, ascend towards Him – the punishment will befall on a day which spans fifty thousand years. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَٱصْبِرْ صَبْرًۭا جَمِيلًا ٥
Therefore patiently endure, in the best manner (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُۥ بَعِيدًۭا ٦
They deem it to be remote. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَنَرَىٰهُ قَرِيبًۭا ٧
Whereas We see it impending. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
يَوْمَ تَكُونُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ كَٱلْمُهْلِ ٨
The day when the sky will be like molten silver. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَتَكُونُ ٱلْجِبَالُ كَٱلْعِهْنِ ٩
And the hills will be light as wool. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَلَا يَسْـَٔلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًۭا ١٠
And no friend will ask concerning his friend. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚ يَوَدُّ ٱلْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِى مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍۭ بِبَنِيهِ ١١
They will be seeing them; the guilty will wish if only he could redeem himself from the punishment of that day, by offering his sons. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَصَٰحِبَتِهِۦ وَأَخِيهِ ١٢
And his wife and his brother. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَفَصِيلَتِهِ ٱلَّتِى تُـْٔوِيهِ ١٣
And the family in which he was. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَمَن فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًۭا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ ١٤
And all those who are in the earth – then only if the redemption saves him! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّهَا لَظَىٰ ١٥
Never! That is indeed a blazing fire. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
نَزَّاعَةًۭ لِّلشَّوَىٰ ١٦
A fire that melts the hide. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
تَدْعُوا۟ مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ١٧
It calls out to him who reverted and turned away. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَىٰٓ ١٨
And accumulated wealth and hoarded it. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
۞ إِنَّ ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا ١٩
Indeed man is created very impatient, greedy. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلشَّرُّ جَزُوعًۭا ٢٠
Very nervous when touched by misfortune. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ ٱلْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا ٢١
And refraining, when good reaches him. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِلَّا ٱلْمُصَلِّينَ ٢٢
Except those who establish prayer. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
ٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ دَآئِمُونَ ٢٣
Those who are regular in their prayers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ فِىٓ أَمْوَٰلِهِمْ حَقٌّۭ مَّعْلُومٌۭ ٢٤
And those in whose wealth exists a recognised right, — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
لِّلسَّآئِلِ وَٱلْمَحْرُومِ ٢٥
For those who beg, and for the needy who cannot even ask. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ٢٦
And those who believe the Day of Judgement to be true. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم مِّنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِم مُّشْفِقُونَ ٢٧
And those who fear the punishment of their Lord. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍۢ ٢٨
Indeed the punishment of their Lord is not a thing to be unafraid of! — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَٰفِظُونَ ٢٩
And those who protect their private organs (from adultery). — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
إِلَّا عَلَىٰٓ أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ ٣٠
Except with their wives and the bondwomen in their possession, for there is no reproach on them. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَمَنِ ٱبْتَغَىٰ وَرَآءَ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْعَادُونَ ٣١
So those who desire more than this – it is they who are the transgressors. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَٰنَٰتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَٰعُونَ ٣٢
And those who protect the property entrusted to them, and their agreements. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُم بِشَهَٰدَٰتِهِمْ قَآئِمُونَ ٣٣
And those who are firm upon their testimonies. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
وَٱلَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَىٰ صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ ٣٤
And those who protect their prayers. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ مُّكْرَمُونَ ٣٥
It is these who will be honoured in Gardens. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَمَالِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ ٣٦
So what is the matter with these disbelievers, that they stare at you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him)? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
عَنِ ٱلْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ ٱلشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ ٣٧
From the right and the left, in groups? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ ٱمْرِئٍۢ مِّنْهُمْ أَن يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍۢ ٣٨
Does every man among them aspire to be admitted into the Garden of serenity? — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
كَلَّآ ۖ إِنَّا خَلَقْنَٰهُم مِّمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ ٣٩
Never! We have indeed created them from a thing they know. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَلَآ أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْمَشَٰرِقِ وَٱلْمَغَٰرِبِ إِنَّا لَقَٰدِرُونَ ٤٠
So I swear by the Lord of every East and every West, that We are indeed Able. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
عَلَىٰٓ أَن نُّبَدِّلَ خَيْرًۭا مِّنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ ٤١
To replace them by those better than them; and none can escape from Us. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا۟ وَيَلْعَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يُلَٰقُوا۟ يَوْمَهُمُ ٱلَّذِى يُوعَدُونَ ٤٢
Therefore leave them, involved in their indecencies and play, till they confront their day which they are promised. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًۭا كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ نُصُبٍۢ يُوفِضُونَ ٤٣
A day when they will come out of the graves in haste, as if rushing towards their goals. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
خَٰشِعَةً أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌۭ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمُ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يُوعَدُونَ ٤٤
With lowered eyes, disgrace overcoming them; this is the day, which they had been promised. — Kanz ul-Iman (کنزالایمان)
